Economics of Disasters provides a look at a variety of natural disasters – from the Black
Death of the Middle Ages to Hurricane Katrina, as well as SARS, COVID-19 pandemics
and other recent disasters. This workshop offers economic perspective to analyze these
events and to instill economic reasoning in history and the other social studies
disciplines.
Foundation for Teaching Economics’ mission is to introduce students to an economic
way of thinking and to promote excellence in economic education.
