“Playful”  Economics
June 9, 2026, 8:30-2:00

Presenter: Lesley Mace, Senior Outreach Advisor
Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Birmingham Branch
Bring the joy of play to your classroom with lessons that incorporate building blocks, modeling clay, and familiar games such as musical chairs and limbo to introduce economic concepts through creativity and movement. You’ll also experience an escape room activity designed to teach banking basics. Most lessons are geared toward elementary and middle school students but can be adapted for higher grade levels. A light breakfast, lunch, and all materials will be provided.

The Alabama Council on Economic Education will provide Alabama K-12 teachers with a $50 Amazon E-Gift Card for attending and participating in the workshop and completing a workshop evaluation.
Five hours CEU will be awarded.
