PROGRAM GOAL:                    To allow teachers who are new / beginning teachers of economics to identify and learn  
                                                     basic economic content and  develop lesson plans for effectively teaching the high school
                                                     economics course.

 
PROGRAM FORMAT:               A four-day program which incorporates content, overviews, demonstration lectures,
                                                     simulations and special topic discussions.

                                                     Adjunct Professor of Economics, Walsh College
                                               
PARTICIPANT COSTS:             $150 non-refundable fee, if accepted
 
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:  Applicants must apply  (click button to left)
                                                    
Acceptance on first come basis to those full time and qualified teachers who are
                                                     new / beginning teachers of economics. Not open to AP Economics teachers.


PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS:  $350 honoraria paid to those accepted
                                                     $150 stipend paid if commuting with no hotel stay

OPTIONAL:                                2 graduate credit hours in economics from the
                                                     University of Colorado Colorado Springs
