Divisions:
The Alabama SMG is played in two divisions, Upper (grades 9-12), and Lower (grades 4-8). Home school students must play in the upper division if even one member of the team is in grades 9-12.
Regions:
The State is divided into Northern and Southern Regions. This line does not bisect the State geographically but instead balances the State’s school age population. The physical location of your school in a particular county determines the Region in which you compete. If you believe you are competing in the wrong Region, please contact SMG Coordinator Wanda McAbee by email at [email protected].
