IN-PERSON

Sponsored by Rotary Club Alabama

The SIFMA Foundation's Stock Market Game™ (SMG) gives students in grades 4-12 the chance to invest a hypothetical $100,000 in an on-line portfolio. They think they're playing a game. You know they're learning economic and financial concepts they'll use for the rest of their lives. Presented in a computer lab, this hands-on professional development opportunity is designed to help educators teach SMG as a student-focused, 10-week online simulation. Participants will be able to view the simulation from both the student and teacher perspective and learn quick tips to get started!

The Stock Market Game™ program offers a vast library of learning materials correlated to state standards in Math, Business Education, Economics, Career Prep, English/Language Arts, Technology, Social Studies, Family and Consumer Sciences and Gifted Education.

The program also teaches and reinforces skills in critical thinking, decision-making, teamwork, and independent research.

Participants receive:
3 Hour CEU Certificate
Free SMG curriculum and resources
Boxed Lunch
Chance to win one of three $25 gift cards!
