Sports are not just a favorite pastime for players and fans, they are also big business--and a great way to teach economics. From college football to the NBA and MLB, explore how sports can be a vehicle for teaching about opportunity cost and comparative advantage, specialization, supply and demand, market structures, entrepreneurship, and more. A discussion of the impact of sports on Alabama and state-specific examples will be included in the webinar, as well as stories of innovators and entrepreneurs whose ideas have helped athletes win success on the field.
Alabama teachers receive a one-hour CEU certificate and a $25 stipend.
